that year of miracles: from mourning to dancing: how the transformative power of God’s grace can make even a year of mourning— that year of miracles, by Logan Nakyanzi Pollard (Author) Available in all formats.
desc:
Change is challenging, it could be a personal loss, but it doesn’t necessarily have to be . . . This is a new course taking on this topic, and using the lens of our new book, that year of miracles, by Logan Nakyanzi Pollard (Author). Available in all formats.
“The original idea behind that year of miracles was processing the loss of my dad. But as I was writing it, and in the months since its publication— I realized it’s really a book about transitions and dealing with almost any kind of foundational change. If you’re going through a significant period of adjustment or loss, and are looking for new insights, that is— the miraculous in the every day— do consider this work.”
—excerpted from book summary.
How this class will help you:
This class will help you see miracles and gain an appreciation of how … you will not only get through this challenge— but how you are a better person than you were before.
A mindful experience tailored around the needs and goals of each student.

that year of miracles
Get the book
“You’re not alone. No one person or being on this planet gets through life without grief.”
Summary:
Poignant, funny and unexpectedly beautiful, that year of miracles is a gift for when flowers aren’t enough and when you don’t know what to say or how to be there for someone going through a tough time. And— what you can give to yourself when you need a reminder that you’re not alone.
A collection of essays written by a woman grieving the loss of a parent, adept at communicating what is both deeply personal and what we all feel (but might not be able to express) the author weaves stories to show her healing process through grief. And, with reflective prompts for the reader, that year of miracles invites you into a conversation around your own healing: moving through the loss of a parent and/or navigating a life transition with God’s grace.
